The duties of equals are, to regard the dignity and worth of each other, in giving honor to go one before another; and to rejoice in each other’s gifts and advancement, as their own.
The sins of equals are, besides the neglect of the duties required, the undervaluing of the worth, envying the gifts, grieving at the advancement of prosperity one of another; and usurping pre-eminence one over another.
The reason annexed to the fifth commandment, in these words, that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God gives thee, is an express promise of long life and prosperity, as far as it shall serve for God’s glory and their own goo d, to all such as keep this commandment.
Honor your father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with you, and thou may live long on the earth. [Ephesians 6:2-3]

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! O all you people, every nation, shout his praises; for so great, yes, so magnificent has been the loving kindness he has shown to us. And the truth of the Lord is everlasting – give the Lord all praise; and the truth of the Lord is everlasting – give the Lord all praise.

  • "And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled." ~ (Rev 6:9-11)
